Hi!

Thank you for coming to my page. First, let me tell you that this page is always work in progress. I’ll probably be constantly changing the format and the way I do my posts. I won’t always post (though I’ll try!) but my aim is to at least keep it active.

I have been overweight my entire life, there is not a day that I know that I can’t say I don’t think of the fact and wish it wasn’t so. In high school I was on Weight Watchers which was good while it lasted. I did lose a good amount of weight, but being the weight that I am it always seems like an endless cycle and I’ll never reach the finish line so I stopped. Since then I’ve gained close to 100 lb. It’s shocking me to come to grips with, especially because I didn’t realize I had gained that much weight. I’m probably only 2-3 sizes away from my high school weight, and I never thought much of it until I finally stepped on the scale.

I have been at this for more years than I can count. Off and on, both in weight loss and on updating. I’m trying to make this lifestyle now a serious priority for me. There is not a day goes by that I think “What if?”.

I really am trying to change my awful lifestyle to help the environment, and usually tend to use organic/natural products as much as my small budget will allow me. I had been vegetarian a while, and finally decided to take the plunge into veganism a couple of years ago. I love animals, and the way our society treats farming animals and those bred for consumption is massively disgusting a heart wrenching. I decided that I wasn’t going to be a part of it anymore. Currently, this is what is right for me and I am much more happier person because of it.

I think everyone is here on their own journey, and they have to find what is right for them. I also realize that not everyone is vegan, or finds it easy to transition your diet to vegan, but I hope that this blog will help you out. I review a lot of different and fun items that are exclusively vegan. It used to be a lot harder to find a lot of substitutions for non-vegan things, and nowadays you can find a substitute for everything, but not all are good and aim to be real about this. I hope that maybe you can find one that you like to replace the animal product. Eating less animals is still helping.

I’ve also developed a love for learning more about health, and the way our food is grown. I try to go to many events in town, and hear as many people speak as I can. I love learning about new things, and whether or not I want to look more into the subject.

This blog has always aided as tool to put down my thoughts. This blog is about my life, and will deal mostly with my weight loss and vegan things, but I love to go off track sometimes.
